Mindful Day Retreat

Yoga | Meditation | Mindfulness practice amongst the bellbirds of Kurrajong

Saturday 24th of November
10am – 4pm

“Mindfulness is a way of befriending ourselves and our experience”

Day Overview – Saturday 24th of November – 10am-4pm

Whilst springtime brings the beauty and warmth of long sunlit days, we often forget to be ‘present’ as we approach and hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. We get lost mad rush of activities, which generates a lot of ‘yang’ energy.

To cope with the stress, practicing mindfulness can be extremely beneficial. In the midst of it all the chaos, it allows one to be more calm and centred, and by being present we can truly appreciate the meaning of uniting with friends and family to celebrate this special holiday.

Allow this retreat to provide the opportunity to immerse one’s self in the practice of mindfulness… so much so that hopefully you will use it in your own life with the practices explored on the day.

Schedule for the day

10 am – Welcome arrival at the farm. I will then direct you to our tree-house cabins located in the bush reserve area of the property. Here you are invited to connect with nature and the surroundings.

10.30 am – Start the day with a lovely tea meditation. From there we will move to a gentle yoga practice to unwind and open the body.

12 pm – Break for lunch. Together we will engage in a nourishing mindful eating practice.

1.30 pm – A talk about meditation and mindfulness. Here we will try to understand the practical ways of applying these concepts to your daily routine. I encourage you all to participate in the group discussion for you to get the most out of this exercise.

2.30 pm – A guided body awareness meditation. This lying down practice is all about connecting body and mind.

3.30 pm – A closing circle. We will piece together the lessons of the day, in which you will create your own rituals and set intentions for the life you want to live when you return home.
