The story behind this artwork was a visit to Mt Kosciuszko National Park. As I hiked through the trees, I was totally in awe of the colours of these snow gums that I came across, I couldn’t believe how many colours, shades, tones and textures they had, it was my first time seeing these marvellous colourful trees. I took photos and they stuck with me for a long time on my return. Interestingly I wasn’t planning on creating a piece on them but as I got back in my studio and was playing around, the colours that I saw in those trees started to come out. And then a whole series came about. This piece is part of 3 pieces that can be bought together or separately as a snow gum, or snow gums together.

All pieces are sealed with a UV varnish to protect them from sunlight. It is still recommended that you keep pieces out of direct sunlight and if possible use UV glass/acrylic perspex or conservation glass where possible to best look after an original artwork. Art is signed on the back.

Each piece is intuitively created within a meditative state and opened awareness. From this, I believe each piece carries a specific energy, as well as a message to offer the receiver and viewer. I hope you enjoy the piece as much as I did to create it.
